Cheesy Baked Beans, as requested!

Well, there wasn't a recipe, I just sort of made them up, but they were F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. so I'll tell you what I did, and maybe you can replicate. It wasn't rocket science!

One large can of baked beans, I used generic homestyle
One large can of chili beans, with the sauce
One handful of sliced pepperonis, cut into fourths
Three hotdogs, cut into fourths
One sprinkle of Paula Deene house seasoning*
One handful of diced white onion
One fourth of a block of velveeta, cut into cubes

Dump the two cans of beans into a small crockpot (that has been sprayed with pam unless you particularly like scrubbing crockpots.) Throw in the pepperonis, the hotdogs, the onion and the seasonings. Scatter the velveeta cubes across the top. Set the crockpot on low and cook for four hours. Right before serving stir in the melted velveeta cubes.

Every single person who ate them commented on how good they were, except the two year old who just kept cramming them into his little mouth. I think they might be good with a can of corn, or 1/2 a pound of hamburger in them, or both. Both added would make a dandy main dish I think.

*Paula Deene seasoning - from her The Lady & Sons Savannah Country Cookbook, pg. 160. She calls it 'House Seasoning'. Take 1 cup salt, 1/4 cup black pepper, and 1/4 cup garlic powder. Mix well. Store in shaker near stove for convenience. I keep mine in an old jam jar, with a lid that has holes poked all over it with an ice pick and indeed store it next to the stove. Almost everything I cook gets a sprinkle of this, seriously! I even use it on my salads. Possibly it's nicer to read my posts that to talk to me up close and personal, with all that garlic running through my bloodstream...

Oh, my...

Between Sarah's donuts and your cheesy beans, I'm gonna have to learn the meaning of these two little words:

Portion Control.

Cuz seriously...who wouldn't want those beans?

Oh thank you, thank you! We're having a potluck at work this week and I have now solved my problem of what to bring. :)
