After 12 days of being gone, we're almost home. It's Cincinnatti tonight (and I'm too weary to be sure if Cincinnatti is spelled correctly or not...). We drove a good 300 miles yesterday, spent the night somewhere just past Little Rock, and tonight after 700 miles of highway - a small steak at Applebees and soaking in the tub of our Holiday Inn Express room - we both feel much more human.
The hotel clerk quoted us a price, took a longer look at us, and saw how tired we were and shaved another $20 off the rate!
One more day on the road, 300 miles to go, and then it's Home Sweet Home! Fun photos to follow after we grab some groceries, dehair the house and pay the bills!

Welcome home! Can't wait to see the pics and hear about your Thanksgiving in your Southern home.
If I'd known you were so close I'd have waved at you as you went by! ;o)
Much love,
Diane
Yay! Hope you had a wonderufl time in your new place, making it feel like home .
So glad you're back, or almost there:-)
Safe travels!
I have been thinking about you lately. Hope your time was both productive and enjoyable! I'll be watching for your pictures. =)
I'm glad you activated comments on this post. :-)
You know I can't wait to see photos from this first stay in your new lake house.
But mostly, you seriously have to tell me what the green frog thing in the photo in the post below this one is. If that's a toddler bowl, you seriously need to tell me where you found it.
Welcome home - I missed you - and I'm waiting for a nice long email telling me all about this trip.
xoxo
