Happy to Wash Windows

My little buddy was over yesterday for a visit, while his momma went to MOPS. He's getting to be so big, and tall, that I've started letting him 'help' me with chores.

A favorite - throwing the dirty laundry in the washer, and watching the water pour in. He also loves to feed the dogs and push around our new Shark vacuum. I'll take all the help I can get with vacuuming pet hair!

We bought a plastic step for our old dog to get in and out of the car and it occurred to me yesterday that it would work well for Landon too, when he's helping me make cookies, or whatever.

Yesterday we found a new, fun chore he could do. His fingers are still too short, and his grip not strong enough, to squeeze the Windex trigger. So I helped.

"Looka me, Grammy!"

The new steps helped him reach almost to the top of the window.

That the dog kisses are all low is beside the point. I'll get those later, or leave them, since they'll likely just be redeposited later in the day anyway.

After chores, we had fun making snakes and pancakes out of playdoh. And a few times I nuzzled in close to him, just to soak up some 'little person smell', which is divine beyond description.

Oh my goodness what a fun morning with your little buddy! He sure must love coming to your house.

I love that you let him wash windows, knowing full well that the fingerprints he puts on those windows will not be gone for long.

And ... I love MOPS. I am a mentor this year with 10 young mamas of my own to care for. I love it! One has had a baby this year, one is due soon, and the others are just wrangling their young ones like faithful cowgirls.

Have a great week Bev!

I could just eat him up. I have to store all these grammy stories up for when it's my turn. You do it well, my friend.

What a precious day. Only a sweet grandbaby can make even window washing special.

Isn't life funny that way? Who we are with can make even the mundane fun... makes me glad I married the man that I did:-)

Thanks for sharing these adorable pictures and memories... the closest thing I get to those snuggles are from my 5 month old shih tzu puppy, and I can assure you that she does NOT share that sweet baby smell!

Ah this is so cute. I can only imagine how much fun you had. Love the last photo with the pup looking on. Hope you are having a great start to the New Year.

It won't be long until Emmy is big enough to "help" too.

Your Little Man is so handsome! He got the best from both parents. :o)

Elway looks like he can't wait to eat some of that Playdoh! I'll bet that makes for some nasty effects on a dog's digestive system. LOL!

Yay! Pictures of my beautiful nephew!!

(And Becky's "faithful cowgirls" comment just made me laugh out loud--at 8 a.m. even!) That's me, a faithful cowgirl :)

I don't know which is cuter - Landon or the doggie. Honestly, what adorable pictures you got.

He really IS getting tall. And it's eerie, at least to me, how much he looks like Danny did at that age.

What a cutie pie. I tell you, our family just makes the cutest kids!
