Please tell me - can you read this....

I got an email from a reader who told me my new blog template is really very pretty, but she can't read a single word of any of the posts. They are apparently showing yellow on her screen, and she wondered if anyone else is having the same problem.

I really liked the cute new wallpaper I'd chosen, but this one was pretty close and I'm hoping the white background will make it more viewer friendly. Not that I'm in love with those smokey grey swirls running behind everything on this one. If that's really annoying I'd love to know that too. I'm annoying enough in real life, I sure don't want to be annoying in cyberspace!

So anyone out there - can you please let me know if you were having trouble with the old template, which was all of about five days old, and if you can read this one, which of course if you can't then you won't be reading this and you won't leave a comment, so likely I'll only hear from those of you who can read it. Anyone else, I hope you'll intuitively know to click on my email address and tell me, "Houston, we have a problem."

There are a few other choices I could plug in, but I'm really not in love with the black and white one with chess pieces on each side. The one that is black and white polka dot with bows is cute but looked a little like Daisey Mae to me. Hopefully this one will do the trick. If not then I'll know why they're free, and I'll find time in the next few days to dig around a bit and come up with a better solution. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to want to live with those swirly things very long. They're already making me feel like I need to clean my glasses...

I didn't have a difficult time reading the old one or this one. However, it did come up yellow.

How strange that it was coming up yellow for everyone else. Looked fine to me and this one does too, although this one is a little busy. And I have to scroll your post up and down because it hides behind the black ribbon on the side.

But the text is black and easy for me to read.

I can see it just fine!
I didn't visit when you were jaundiced so I can't compare, but all's good now!

No problem with yellow text on the other one for me. I actually liked it better than this one, but it's okay and I can read the text.

I have found that a lot of times when only a few people are having trouble viewing a template that it's usually a browser issue. I'm using Firefox and the people having problems probably use Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera or one of the other browsers.

Just a thought.

Hi Bev ~ Unfortunately I haven’t been able to visit my blogging friends lately with my move and all but I can read your posts now. Some of the words are hiding behind the black ribbon a little bit but I can make them out. Maybe the font needs to be larger or maybe it’s just my OLD eyes… I like large type no matter what I’m reading. HA!

This reads fine for me, and I don't recall having a problem with the other one either.

I can read it fine here. But I could read the other one too.

Bev, Not yellow here, but looks kind of like bluish ink stains scattered on it.

Though I could read the old template, it was a little difficult for me. There are a few blogs I read who have font that's hard for me to see, but I chalked it up to my 52yo eyes and figured it was just me.

I can read this new font, but again, it is a bit of a struggle. I can deal with it, but it's not easy on my eyes. Go with the majority's needs though, I say.

I have no problem with either - but I believe there is a way you can clear the swirls from the background. MG played around with hers, and it is so much clearer now. I don't know how to do the tschy things, but thank heavens I have some friends who do!

All of a sudden I can't recall the other one. This one I can read the font but the background isn't easy on my eyes, unfortunately.

The old one didn't come up yellow, but the font was so tiny I had a hard time reading it. I don't see any swirls on this one, though. It looks great! :)

I didn´t have any trouble with the last one and truthfully liked it better too.
But whatever works for you is fine.
Hope you´ll get it all resolved soon.
