I learned the hard way you probably should not try to cut calories in Christmas cookies. Substituting 'fat free' for regular sweetened condensed milk made the cookies run all over the sheet once the heat of the oven hit them, and we ended up setting them out for the birds to enjoy.
The batter apparently was still pretty good, at least my official Christmas cookie baking partner seemed to think so.
And as you can clearly see, the kitchen is still an absolute picture of order and tidyness....

Boy, the birds who live in your neck of the woods are LUCKY! Imagine, coconut macaroon cookie dough - I'll bet your deck is their favorite place in all of birdville. :-)
Your little helper looks like he's loving it too. What a cutie pie.
I learned the same thing a few years ago. I figured if I am going to the trouble to bake my specialties, I need to go all the way and use fat FULL. And then ... you know ... have will power. Right!
And can I just say ... that apron on that darling grandchild is so adorable on him. By the time he grows into it he will be an expert.
With no little helpers here right now, it is all I can do not to lick the spoon myself. I have to confess - I made brownies the other day and I did - lick the spoon :-)
Sometimes the batter is better. Cute helper you have there
Ah, order and tidyness is for "one day". I'd rather have the fun. Your helper sure is cute and enjoying himself.
We have the same mixer...Sweet. I love mine. You have about as many birds as I do... Lovely!
What is that little boy weariing! LOL - so cute.
