In one hour I'm going online and buying tickets to this:
If it's the only live entertainment we go to this year, I'll be quite content. They've been advertising it for months, and today's the day to finally buy tickets. We're going on February 22, to celebrate Valentine's Day a bit late.
What makes it so special - a once in a lifetime opportunity? Topol, who starred in the movie years ago, will be playing the lead role.
I can already envision us sitting there, and hearing "If I were a rich man....."
Update: Got 'em! Director's Circle (which hangs over the main floor), far to the left, but we should have a great view and nobody wanting to scoot by us over and over. Tickled to pieces!

Did you get your tickets??!!
cool... I hope you get them!
On my way to B.S.F. this morning, have an awesome day Bev!
Yay!
My first boy-girl "date" (taken and picked up by his parents, of course) was to a tiny dinner theater in Berthoud, CO to see Fiddler on the Roof. In my Jessica McClintock knock-off gunny sack dress and mullet hairdo. I was quite the looker.
We love musicals around here. I hope you have the best time!
Lucky, lucky you! Have a great time! I've got FotR saved on my DVR - maybe I'll wait and watch it the same night as you!? (If I can make it that long.)
How wonderful for you! I can't imagine anyone else in the lead. In college, our dorm painted murals of movies all along our floor. Mine was Fiddler on the Roof. Loved the movie. I wonder if this is a show that will travel?
I LOVE that movie. I am so jealous. I've been thinking of what I can do special for the Butler. His 50th birthday is in November. My desire of all desires would be to get us tickets for the World Series. But of course that will never happen.
Perhaps a play. Even if it is at the other end of a $99 plane fare special! I'll have to look around and keep my eyes and ears open.
Have so much fun! I know we will hear about it in a few weeks. yay!
Tradition. Tradition. I love Fiddler. In fact as a little girl I wondered why I didn't have a family more like that. I guess the fact that we were Lutheran not Jewish could be the reason.
Have a great time.
How fun! Fiddler is my favorite play of all - you lucky duck!
LOVE that show! You will have a great time!
I'm so jealous! That song has been going through my head for a month now and I've been on the lookout for a DVD copy of the movie. Have a wonderful time!
Oh, how fun, Bev. The last time I saw Fiddler on the Roof was at the Boulder Dinner Theater. It's one of my all time ever favorite musicals. I'm glad you got the tickets!
I saw Fiddler on Broadway with Harvey Fierstein as Tevye. It was incredible! Have a blast!!
