Delicious Quote from Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society

I had to share one quote from this most delicious book:

"While I question her taste, her judgment, her misplaced priorities, and her inappropriate sense of humor, she does indeed have one fine quality - she is honest. If she says she will honor the good name of your literary society, she will do so. I can say no more."

Is that not the perfect way to describe someone you respect, but don't particularly enjoy?!

Indeed, it's already jotted down in my quote notebook, with a name or two beside it. It's a good reminder to recognize the good in others, even when I have to look hard. I imagine others have to do the same with me on a regular basis!

You've mentioned this book twice now and you make it sound so wonderful, I just went on line and ordered it with a Barnes & Noble gift certificate a sweet blogging friend sent me for Christmas.

I can't wait to get it!

That is a wonderful quote. I suspect book is going to be a keeper. :-)

Lurve it.

Testies (as Beth Moore would call them) or EGRs as we call them at our church (extra grace requireds). Sadly, it's true that we're all probably on someone else's EGR or Testy list.

I too need to either check out or buy this gem.
