Looking toward Spring

Last fall I found this wreath at Michaels or some such store, and grabbed it at 40% off. It was just what I was looking for, to adorn the front door when our home goes on the market.

Subdued, not shouting any color necessarily, but something you'd notice. It needed something - I wasn't sure just what. Til I saw this at Tuesday Morning.

I set aside the pink silk hydrangea for another use, another time.

There you go - It's never too early to welcome spring!

Adorable. That little robin's nest just shouts, "Spring really is just around the corner."

I love it. I think wreaths add such warmth to a home. Coincidentally I'm hanging two in the house today.

Looks really nice against the red door.

Okay, too cute. My neighbor had a nest which was exactly like that--even with the same colored eggs. For weeks we weren't allowed to go to her front door in case we were disturbing "mamma bird." Sadly, the eggs didn't make it. Maybe one did? I dunno. But it was so precious and sweet. Such hard work those mama birds go to!

Oh Spring, COME!
