Linky Love and Lost Stuff

Edited: Camera - found! In Leslie's car, safe and sound. Hurrah - it's not fancy but it's paid for...

We're so busy playing here, and having such fun! Movies, big breakfasts, staying in pjs til way past noon, we've been watching Planet Earth, and just lots of family fun.

Tonight we went with Dan and Janae and Jeremy and Leslie to a restaurant that has become our family favorite - Rolands Trattoria. Funky, funny, and fabulous food. After we'd eaten, which took a good 1 1/2 hours, Roland came over and chatted with us for at least 30 minutes. We ended up grabbing three slices of cheesecake to go, for dessert tomorrow night. So it's been absolutely great having two of our three kids and their spouses with us.

But we've managed to lose the camera. I don't lose things. When anything goes missing, I go into this very weird zone of being completely obsessed with looking for it. We've looked everywhere normal, so I'm convinced it's in the freezer or dishwasher, or somewhere like that.

In the meantime, and while trying to take my mind off looking for the camera a bit more, here are a few blogs I've run across in the past week or so that I particularly enjoyed:

Becky, at The Butler's Wife, shared her Friday Favorites, and I absolutely loved her take on living with grown children.

Karen talks about avocados and worship over at Exceedingly Abundant.

This anniversary tribute, by Kelly, at Living in Grace, brought misty eyes.

Finally, Gretchen, at Jewels in My Crown Someday shares a less than perfect day we all can relate to.

So I'm too busy with people to love on, and a camera to keep searching for to post much here, but I think you'll enjoy these other posts. Okay, where else can it possibly be.... not the sofa cushions, not under the sofa, not on top of the hoosier cupboard, not in my pocket, not in my purse....

I know exactly what you're doing, trying to find the camera. When something like that happens to me, I find myself looking in the craziest places. And every single time, I never find it until I stop looking for it. Then it shows up in a very obvious spot and I wonder, "Why on earth didn't I look there?" :-)

Thanks for sharing the links. Three of them are familiar to me. I'm off to introduce myself to Karen.

Happy Valentine's Day. xoxoxo

I assume you checked you coat pocket? I find the most unusual things in my jackets a year later.

Thanks for the linky love. I know you are, at this very moment, enjoying your sweet grown man son and his lovely wife.

I hope you continue to have a wonderful visit. And a happy Valentine's Day to you all!

I'm so sorry about the camera! But so thrilled to know you're Valentining with some awesome peeps. Thank you for the linky love, my friend.

Also, check under the front seat of the car. And pray. Silly sounding, I know. But I lose my keys on a ahem...well often...and whenever I stop, breathe, and pray, I am led to them.
