Ready or Not!

We think we're ready -

Everything we own is in a box, with a label on it, ready for a trip south.

I think the sheep likes being up high. He can see much better from that vantage point.

The guts of the house - shoe polish and phone cords and journals and fall decor and kids' memorabilia - the stuff you don't spend much time with but can't live without - it's all packed too, because Miss Efficient didn't show up as previously planned. If she had I'm sure she would have tossed some of that stuff.

Yard work tends to follow you whever you go. I tried telling that rake a fake address, but suspect he's going to figure out where we live anyway. The snowblower? Not so much. I told him 'we're breaking up, permanently!' He's going to go live with a guy in Erie, PA where it snows like crazy. Sad for that guy.

It's been awhile since this truck pulled up to our front door, and we're thinking it looks great. Come on in boys, we're ready for the next adventure! Hopefully you know the way to Bodunk, Texas and all our stuff will make it there in one piece...

That Miss Efficient - she's just never there when you need her, is she?

Wow. It's very strange to see your house like this. Good heavens, this brings back memeories. I know how exhausting this was. But I'm still so excited for you I can barely stand it. xoxoxo

LOL. Miss Efficient has visited here in awhile.

This is so exciting. One step closer to your dream of living on a lake. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I'm not sure I've ever met Miss Efficient. I thought I did once, but was mistaken :)

I'm so thrilled for you, Bev. Makes it all worth it just to get rid of that snow blower - trading it in for boats and fishing poles - great adventure!

Safe travels south--you'll be in my prayers! Isn't it exciting to be starting a new chapter of life??!! (and isn't that green stretch wrap stuff just the best?? It became my best friend while we were packing!!) Love and blessings, Karen

How completely exciting to be on THIS side of the packing. That is a huge job.

YOu will no doubt unpack some things in Texas and wonder why you kept them ... at the same time you search for something you know you had, only to realize you had decided not to keep it.

That's what stores are for.

Bring it on, Life. Bev and Don are ready for the next phase. :o)

Hope the whole moving thing goes off without a hitch, and you settle in as though it's always been home.

And also, howdy, neighbor. If I knew for sure when you'd be passing by on I-40 I'd wave at you. :-)

xoxoxoxo

I love your blog. We may also be moving into temporary housing so I have a question for you , how did you decide what to send on and what to keep with you. Were there any lists or helpful websites? Best wishes on your new adventure.
