Look what the kids gave us!

The tag on the gift from our kids said it was 'to keep us young' so I was guessing a new coffee pot since we all know caffeine is what keeps us going these days.

But no - it was a...

We were seriously stunned - would never have thought of it.

We had such a blast on Christmas day bowling and playing golf together. I bowled all strikes and spares but haven't given the golf a try yet and am pretty sure how I'm going to do on that one.

It should be a wonderful blessing, when squirmy grandkids come to the lake and God decides to make it rain and we're all inside for several days - a way to burn some steam is a good thing when you have five grandkids! Maybe we can have neighborhood Wii parties?

So thank you to our six kids who went together to give us such a fun gift! We were completely surprised.

Then Leslie told us they had a Wii fit and for just about the cost of one month's membership at the gym we were able to buy the board and software for workouts right here in our living room. Since we'll be moving to Timbuktoo in three months and a gym is 75 minutes away that's going to come in very handy.

Yoga / pilates here I come. BMI - not sure I want to know that yet. Thanks kids for making Christmas so much fun. Don't tell Daddy I bought him the Zelda game as New Year's Eve present - that should keep him busy while I go play with baby Jae!

Kids giving their parents video games for Christmas - how fun is that?!

I think that's awesome! My nieces have a Wii and always bring it to Mark's parent's at Christmas, which THRILLS Benjamin to no end. We do not have one, so he loves to try to wear theirs out when we are all together. He's become a crazy good bowler, but thinks golf is pretty hard (and he's a pretty good little golfer in "real" life). The tennis is fun, too. But beware--if you are like me, you can get a sore arm pretty quick after spending too much time playing! :o) I'll be curious to see what you think about the Wii Fit...ENJOY!! Happy New Year! Love, Karen

Too fun! We have one too and I actually could hardly move my arm the day after playing all those games. I think the tennis did me in. LOL.

I got the Wii Active Personal Trainer for Christmas. I've heard it's fun.

You are going to LOVE it. My Mom gave my Dad one this year and the 2 of them have been playing non-stop. FUN!

We bought my parents one for Christmas. They asked for it - which amused me, as they are 58 and 70, and my husband and I, who are 25 and 34, don't have one. I guess they are having a great time with it. I suspect it may come out tonight when we head over for dinner.

I can assure you, it will be the best babysitter you ever had. Cameron plays all day long when Mandy and Aaron bring theirs to my house. If it takes me forever, I'm saving up until I can buy one. I NEED a Wii in this house!

What a great gift for your kids to get together and give to you and Don. Watch out though. I've heard it's addictive. lol

Wii never win anything, but 2 years ago, wii did. A little incentive drawing program at our daughter's school led us to the jackpot. I think you're going to really have fun, Bev.
