Frying up our First Lake Fish

The men went fishing - a little retirement gift from me, they hired a professional guide who spent four hours with them, showing them the ins and outs of the lake.

Results: caught 140 fish in four hours.

Don and Dan, an entire morning of fishing together. It doesn't seem that long ago Don stayed busy untangling line and clearing up snags.

A nice sized hybrid - he said they were a lot of fun to catch.

Final results: kept 30 - threw the rest back in. Fried up some tonight for supper - happy men and yummy dinner!

Man alive, I've got fish envy right now! I love to fish, and I don't even mind cleaning the fish! Those big bass would be easy to fillet, too.

Just think, before long y'all will have a freezer full of fish and you'll be trying to give fish to everybody that comes by, even the mailman, lol. ;o)

So how many recipes for fish have you found? Looks like you're going to be needing them, living on that lake!
What a great retirement gift, for both of them.

THAT is a nice fish ... TIMES 140.

And that was the best gift for your husband. No going hungry at your house!

I am so happy for you that the men had fun.

And I'm so happy for me that they ate the fish, and you won't be serving it to me next week :)

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful lake you live on. If Andy saw this, I think he'd be headed your way within an hour!

What fun those two are going two have this summer. :-)
